About

The research and materials of the Fashion Threads are the result of Modefica’s collaboration towards building a more sustainable and collaborative fashion industry. This project was born of  our journey of research on the textile industry and of the need to shed light onto the main social and environmental issues involving the manufacturing of several raw materials used to produce our clothes.

However, apart from bringing observations regarding the main problems and challenges when it comes to sustainability in fashion, we have also investigated possible alternatives, not only for materials, but also for production modes, and mostly, for relationships within the supply chain. The Fashion Threads is devised and carried out by Modefica, but it counts on the collaboration of several partners and people equally committed to change.
